Horse Camp
General Information
We average 18 campers a week, and provide a safe, clean environment, with experienced CPR certified counselors and horses that have been around kids for many years. Campers will learn all about Western Horsemanship, ground skills, grooming, hoof care, equipment, colors, breeds, markings and of course, how to ride and enjoy horses! Riverside Stables has been making memories of a lifetime for over 25 years! All riders under 16 years of age must wear a helmet – these are available for use on site, or you can bring your own. We also recommend boots with a heel for all riders. For full day camps, a daily sack lunch is required, and an afternoon snack is provided.

We have an experience to fit every child, from our youngest campers to our oldest. Our camps are tailored to the age and skill level of our campers, offering age–appropriate activities that introduce them to western horsemanship from the ground up. For those campers who may have less time or multiple activities to attend during the summer, we offer half day camps. These are great for beginners looking to get into Horsemanship. And for those looking to really dig deep into equine education, we offer full day camps.

Half Day Experience
Our Half Day Camp is the perfect opportunity for beginners to experience the thrill of horseback riding in a fun and safe environment. Our certified instructors specialize in teaching beginners, and they will guide your child through every step of the process, from learning the basics of riding to developing more advanced skills. Our facilities are designed for beginners, with gentle horses that are perfect for first-time riders. We provide all necessary equipment and gear, so there’s no need to worry about buying anything beforehand. Your child will also have the opportunity to make new friends and learn about horse care and management. At the end of the week, your child will leave with new-found confidence, skills, and a deep appreciation for these majestic animals. Half Day Week
Full Day Experience
Our Full Day Camp is designed for riders who are looking to take their horseback riding skills to the next level. Our experienced and certified instructors will work closely with your child to refine their riding technique, improve their horse care and management skills, and help them develop a deeper understanding of horsemanship. We provide top-notch facilities, including indoor and outdoor arenas, miles of scenic trails, and a range of horses suitable for children. In addition to riding, we offer educational sessions on horse health, nutrition, and stable management. Your child will leave our camp with newfound skills, knowledge, and a deeper passion for horses.
